In our lockdown we have faced many restrictions and have been forced to look at the situation in which we find ourselves in a different way.
Today’s lockdown story is the testimony of two Iranian women, Maryam Rostampour and Marziyeh Amirizadeh, who came to Know Jesus. They started two house churches in their home and went out at night putting bibles in letterboxes. They had posted 1000’s before, in 2009, they were caught and kept for 259 days in the notorious Evin Prison.
The prison is a place of desperation and hopelessness, but in the end Maryam and Marziyeh viewed their situation very differently, they could say,
“It was like church for us”
Jesus had totally transformed their lockdown.
We have a copy of their book “Captive in Iran” if anybody would like to borrow it.
COVID UPDATE from IRAN: Iran is experiencing a massive turning to Jesus during this covid time. Since March this year an average of 3000 people have been turning to Jesus each month but the authorities have reacted by arresting many believers. Please continue to pray for them.
